Transport & Accommodation

You'll need to choose and purchase an accommodation and travel option when you buy your Weekender ticket.

These options are part of the ticket purchase process, and will make sure everyone's weekend is organised, fun and easy. If you're buying tickets for other people, you'll need to know their preferred accommodation and travel options, and some details about them for registration. We recommend you choose the options with the least environmental impact, so you can feel great about yourself all weekend.

Wave Rock Weekender

TRAVEL

Coach Travel

The easiest way to get to the Wave Rock Weekender is in one of our comfortable biodiesel blend fuelled coaches with all your mates.

A return seat on a coach costs $40*, and you pay for this when you buy your ticket.

Coaches will leave at 8:00AM from the carpark of Leederville Village, 663 Newcastle St, Leederville on Saturday 27th September.

We'll be showing great films and lecturing you about how to have an awesome time at Wave Rock on the way out. There will be room for a reasonable amount of gear in the luggage compartment. There will be shuttles to make sure you can get to the shops and anywhere else we think you'd like to go over the weekend, so there really is no need to bring your own car. Our coaches aim to get you to the show in time to watch the Grand Final if you like footy and beer.

Choosing coach travel will save you money, make your weekend completely carefree, and reduce the carbon emissions created by your trip to the show.

The cost of a seat includes a sense of camaraderie, a good looking bus driver, and tree planting in the Wave Rock Weekender Forest to offset the carbon emissions of the journey.

We're also running coaches on a 20% biodiesel blend fuel to lower the emissions created by the trip.

For more info on our environmental initiatives see the Environment section.

Coaches will stop in Corrigin so you can go to the toilet and find out about the Dog In A Ute convention. They'll also stop at Hyden before you head to the show.

Shuttles during the show

If you need to go into town during the event just ask as the main bar for a lift and we'll get someone to run you into town or pick up what you need.

Driving

You may choose to drive your own car to Wave Rock.

Caravans and any other kinds of houses on wheels should not be brought to the Wave Rock Weekender. When you book your ticket, you can choose Car as a transport option, and you'll be asked to submit your vehicle details. See the fuel and emission comparison above before you decide to drive.

You will be able to refuel in Hyden, for more information, see the Facilities section.

For the best route to Hyden, see the Maps section.

Parking cars

We will help you park your car when you arrive at the show.

Please don't arrive before 11:00AM on Saturday – we won't be ready for you until then and you will just have to sit around in your car.

When you arrive at the event site, all people in the car will be asked for their tickets and issued with a tamper proof wristband.

No tickets will be available at the event, so make sure you have yours before you set out.

Tickets are available on http://waverockweekender.oztix.com.au/.

Cars will be parked about one hundred metres from the Camp Ground. You'll be able to access your car, but you won't be able to park it next to your tent or in the caravan park.
